I have been going back for dance recently, in preparation for the musical taking place in December, and boy, I sure am in need of help of trainings. Been dancing quite a bit for the past week, having muscle aches, but nevertheless, it was a wonderful feeling to be back in the dance studio and just dance.

I miss dancing so much, it felt so awesome to be back! Sweat it all out, and dance like no one is watching.

Spent a simple quality day out with Irf over at Vivocity, and i have lots of pictures to share! Heehee!

Irf was telling me that there's this cool blog he found that has cool levitating pictures, and with my new Oly, we decided to give levitating shots a try too!

In a blink of an eye

It is already Friday, and my AL ends next Tuesday. Time literally flew past me catching me off guard! This week have been really well spent, going for movies and meeting up with friends and spending quality time with Irf.

I'm sure i'm going to miss this freedom when i get back to work. Where meetups are real rare, and movies are difficult to come by. Much less to say spending some time with Irf. So just let me bask in this happy moments for the remaining 5 days before i go back to reality.

Just caught the smurfs with Irf today, and oh gawd, they are so smurfingly CUTE!! Teeheehee, if only our real life is as lovely as depicted in the show!

Okok, enough of dreaming, i shall head to bed and have some dreams for real.

hello to new car-mee-rah!

hey all, it's been long since i last updated this space, and i was previously gushing on about how much i like the GF3, but that was before i got to see G3 with it's crazy lovely swivel screen.

So i went ahead and sold my old trusty 1 year old LX3, intending to upgrade to a micro 4/3 in view of my increasing interest in photography thanks to my dear Irf.

But on the fateful day that i have planned to go get my G3, it was out of stock. Hah, how sad. Being all sad, i went home and sulked for a few days, whining about how sucky it is to be without a camera on hand.

Then Irf happily and casually asked me if i had ever considered the olympus pen EP3, and i confidently said no, and brushed it away. I only had to ask him 1 question, that is if it had a swivel screen, and he said no, so i just striked it out of my list totally.

But as the days go by and G3 not being in stock, Irf was telling me how he felt that a G3 might be too bulky for my liking in the long run. I thought about it, and went to do a research. Well, true to that, i kind of felt that way too.

But i still stood strong as i was very much in love with G3, until i did thorough research, and hands on for this EP3.

I still have my reserves with regards to this EP3, which is more expensive, and has no swivel screen which is exactly what i was looking for....

But apparently, EP3 has got quite abit of art filters which i like, especially the pinhole effect which i have absolutely loved from my LX3, which G3 does not have.

I finally caved in when i was at the camera shop, and took the EP3. And well, so far so good, like the pictures it give so far. I still have the same difficulty of camwhoring as there is not swivel screen, but well, there are always pros and cons to weigh, no?

I was presented with the white and black, and it took me like say, 15-20mins to decide on the colour? Would LOVE to have it in white, but because the camera is already slightly bulky, the white makes it look even bigger. And being afraid that the camera will t

From time to time i still think longingly of the white, but reminded myself of why i took the black, and well, let's just say black is a very very safe colour, yea?

Heehee, i shall to babble anymore further. Shall just let the first batch of pictures do it's job.

No photoshop, no editting, just purely out of my new Oly. The only ammendments i make, is to resize the pictures for faster uploading.

New Found Freedom

Hello everyone! On the 29th of August, i have bravely and went ahead for my lasik op, and i'm loving it more than anything else now! It's a new found freedom that i really appreciate, and still getting used to!

The day of the op was pretty scary, but the staff and doctor was extremely nice and patient and explains everything to you in every step of the way, and it really helps make things a much better experience.

Very happy to proclaim that no pain was felt!

Right now, it's the 4th post op day today, and i'm still having slight dryness to the eyes, and also a resolving redness on my outer corner of my eye. Other than that, my vision is wonderful! A little halos here and there along the way, but nothing i can't handle since my astig used to be so high, and halos/starbursts are a norm to me, i don't quite feel the irritation.

If you ask me, this is the best $3k spent in my life thus far!

Hello all! Today, i went for my appointment at Shinagawa as planned, to have my eyes checked out to see if i'm a suitable candidate for Lasik. The whole process was quite pleasant, and very little waiting time. The whole consultation took me about just slightly more than 2hours i think?

Very little time was spent waiting though, the eye checks took pretty long. We started off with the normal machine eye exam you would do at those normal optician shop when you want to get your prescriptive glasses, and also the alphabets and number exam where they fit you with the 'froggy glasses'. But at Shinagawa, it was a bit more in depth.

After which, the lady took me to another room which was very dark, with 4 different machines. Each machine tests for different things, like thickness of your cornea, irregularity of cornea, curvature of your cornea, and one more i don't quite remember what it was. Haha!

Subsequently, mydriatic eyedrops were instilled for me, and i was brought to watch a video on how exactly the procedure will be like, etc. The video was pretty boring though!

halfway through the video, i had a sms that i had to reply to, and realised my vision has started to blur! but it wasn't too bad, i could still see and walk, no problems with that.

When you finish your video, you go for a 2nd eye examination and eye pressure, and then it's time for consultation with Dr Lee.

Dr Lee was very nice and open, he told me all the risks and the success rate, etc. He was very frank with me and said he wanted me to know everything, and informed consent. Very professional lor! LOL.

Well, so far so good i passed all the criteria for lasik, just one small thing which would be my astigmatism. It is apparently considered VERY high to have my degree.

But i have decided to go ahead with the procedure, and will book my appointment tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed till the end of everything now!!

I would say it was a great afternoon spent. Every test that we did, was well explained and it's really good to see for ourselves that they disinfect every machine before use!

Just a simple update before i head off to bed.

Am moving house again. Lols, hope this time it'll be the last time before i have my own place. Have yet to pack much, really need to start packing man!

Nothing's up recently, just the usual work routine, and maybe an interesting little something would be that i actually went for the Shinagawa lasik centre's forum for lasik, and have secured an appointment for myself this thursday for a consultation-assessment to see if i'm suitable for the procedure.

hopefully nothing goes wrong and my hard-saved money would be put into good use. :)

what been up lately was also a meetup with the poly people, SiJie, Syimah, Jon, BF, and me. Spent a good few hours catching up, had dinner together and taken a few pictures. Let's have another meetup soon ok?

Had double date again with Grace and Kenneth on Wednesday, and we went to catch POTC!

as Grace calls it, and it is sure catchy to call it the carrotbean show. hahaha!

We were just chatting the other day, and we just happened to talk about movies, and she was asking if i wanna go watch movie at Lido Imax.

I thought, why not? haha, so she booked, and OMG, the tickets were a whooping $19 per person!! It did came as a shock, but i believe in getting what you pay for. So might as well just give it a go!

Was it worth it you ask? Well, i think it really depends. I think it's really not a good idea to catch each and every movies you wanna watch there, but it'll be nice to watch there if you're on a nice date.

Screen is wider, and the seatings are slightly curved, so in a way if you are seated

in the middle, you are kind of like have the screen and scenes right smack in your face. 3D effects are definitely much better, but as usual, 3D movies leave your eyes tired.

Anyways, the mermaid Serena was really pretty can! She's got the shy girl next door look, with FLAWLESS complexion and skin!!

Oh yea! Today at watsons velocity, i found this Clairol Herbal Essences shampoo, the older version one!

been looking everywhere for this for a long time now. So difficult to find this nowadays!!

Currently, the herbal essences you find outside is the weird and funny smelling ones which i do not like.

I think the best point about Herbal Essence is the scent, being all fruity/flowery and sweet. But now they have weird smelling ones, what a waste!!

The older version one smells DAMN AWESOMEZZZZZZ~!

Backtrack!

Oh yea! I just happened to be browsing, and saw my old post of me being very undecided in choosing which new camera to purchase like back in March of 2010.

Back then i was torn between HX5V, and LX3.

I think i did not mention that, i have decided and have purchased LX3 some times last year around July i think?

So far so good!

Picture quality is wonderful, good enough for me at least. Functions fits me well, although there are still many things that i can learn more about.

Mad love it's pinhole mode! I just love the soft focus feel of the pinhole mode. And with BF's help, i've been utilizing more and more of my LX3's functions, totally digging it!

Fiddled around with abit of DSLR, but i still think i'm not ready for an DSLR yet. My LX3 is so far doing great for me, and i'm somewhat comfortable using it. Not too overwhelming for me as of now.

Oh did i mention that it take WONDERFUL food shots? There is this food mode, when you use it to snap pictures of food, it somehow gives you a VERY real and yummy looking image of the food.

Very happy with my purchase, definitely no regrets spending quite a large sum of money on a slightly older model of camera as it performs really well.

Holiday

I've been hearing SO MUCH about holidays, i myself am getting itchy-backside-d. I see friend's holiday pictures, hear about friend's holiday encounters, listened to friends plan for holiday, etc. Makes me so wanna go on a holiday as well!

But reality just isn't that nice and perfect is it? It's not so easy to just put aside a large sum of money for holiday. As much as i want to, my realistic side kicks in, and kicks me in my stomach(just kidding) and i just turn down all ideas and dreams glumly, and proceeds on with daily life, and work.

To date, the furthest i have ever travelled, is Bangkok. HAHA!

No doubt it's an awesome place, but i would definitely like to go to the other countries. But, realistically, i am just not financially stable enough to enjoy such luxury. Same over at BrownyCow's side.

I just hope that with my sort of tough early days, will lead me to somewhat comfortable future.

As for now, i can only dream.

What would our life be without music? I sometimes ask myself. There are so many songs out there, that reminds me of people and events of the past, and sometimes it just bring a smile to my face.

I'm sure many of us will have a certain song that evokes a certain emotion or pull a certain heartstring. As for me, right now at this moment, what made me put up this post was just because my itunes is playing a certain song that is very meaningful to me, and a song i hold dearly to.

How Did I Fall In Love With You

Sang by this lady Yao Si Ting. I'm sure, many people would not have heard of this song or rather this singer before, but really, her voice is superb! She have got a very clear and crisp voice, and her songs are usually very mellow.

She uses old songs, and sings them in her way, her style. Some are really good!

I know of people who have very different preferences when it comes to what kind of music they listen to, and some of my friends just cannot take slow love songs. It bores them to no end, but i LOVE them!!

I actually like quite a big range of music, and i can accept most songs of different genres. So i'm quite easy when it comes to music. I feel that music is like a universal language whereby even though sometimes you may not know the language of the song, you can still understand and feel the emotion that the song is trying to portray.

I Miss Dancing

How long will i take to not miss it anymore, i have no idea. I have been dancing, since i was a kid. I never had the chance to dance or learn to dance professionally, i have never taken actual classes as my mum never had enough financially to let me go for it.

As a kid in kindergarten, i danced. I did no specific genre. I did whatever that was taught to me in my kindergarten-childcare. From pictures and memory, it was chinese dance. I enjoyed it.

As a kid in Primary school, i danced. I did no specific genre, i did whatever was available in school. Started off with chinese dance, and ended with mordern dance when we had a switch of instructor. I danced on teacher's day with friends, where we choreo-ed our own funny movements. We joined school's talent time with our dance item. I competed in SYF for my mordern dance club when i was in Pri5.

As a teenager, i didn't have a chance to dance as there wasn't a single dance troupe or group as a CCA. I did what was closest to dance, to cheerlead. We didn't have any cheerleading as a CCA, but we did it for interhouse competitions during our yearly sports day.

In my late teens in poly days, i danced. I did no specific genre, i started off with Jazz, but i had to stop due to family issues in year1. That didn't stop me for long. I picked up dancing again in year2. I did latin, and boy i fell in love with it. We went for dance camp, trained hard, went for performances in school, performed outdoors. Then we did Salsa. I didn't really fancy Salsa as much, but i was still dancing, it felt good.

In year3, i danced, but not as much as i would like to. i had endless attachments, i had crazy deadlines for projects, and we had crazy events for performances. Prioritising, i had to give up the chance of doing musical, i had to give up the chance of performing outside of school, i had to stop going for many trainings.

but in the 2years of my experience with La Ballroom En Masse, my ultimate aim/goal was to have a permanent partner whom i could train with, go to classes with, and compete with. But, as usual in any dance troupe/group/classes, the number of girls far exceeds guys. And yeap, i wasn't the best female dancer around. I didn't get to have a perm partner, and no chance for me to go for competitions.

How many countless night i spend, looking at friend's photo album

s of their achievements in competition, and shine and glamour i wish i could be a part of, how many times i find droplets of tear running down my cheeks hoping and wishing i'm the one in the picture.

I sometimes want to dance so much that i have absurd ideas. Ideas of going to NTU for studies, but my aim was to join their dance club. I know it's stupid, but this IS how much i wish to continue doing latin.

But who would understand?

I want to dance.

Ever since i have started work, i have very much neglected this little space of mine, and i have not been doing any updates over here. For the past few weeks, i have recently just started updating this space again, and boy i have almost forgotten the joy of updating a blog.

after reading back, i realised how much more often i used to blog in the past, and how seldom i do so now. But reading back brings a smile to my face! it's like walking down memory lane and reliving those little moments that we tend to let slip off my scrawny brain.

so i have decided to continue to be active over here, in hope that in future when i look back, i can see the little things in live that tickles or angers me.

Recently my lips have been really dry and been cracking up a lot. Many times during work, i will find myself trying not to smile to widely for the fear of tearing my lips and have them bleed.

I've tried so many different brands of lip balm, some helps, but some gives no effects whatsoever. In search for the perfect balm online, i came across many different kinds of recommendations, and i have read SO MUCH about this Rosebud Salve balm that so many different people rave about.

I tried looking around for it, and our little red dot does not seem to have them around. So i settled for the others.

But just that day, while Browny (BF's new petname) and me were in town just walking around and looking for a funnel, we decided to drop by sephora where i vaguely remember spotting this cute little metal funnel meant for beauty products. While we were walking around Sephora after picking up the cute funnel, i stopped in my tracks when i saw this Elizabeth Arden 'counter' i saw the much reviewed Mineral Powder Foundation.

After much consideration, and the SA's help of testing out the product, Browny told me i looked great but at the same time it's very natural looking. A made up look that did not look very made up, if you get what i mean?

The lady removed my then make up, and slathered on my some eye cream, and moisturiser followed by this Pure Finish Mineral Tinted Moisturizer and top it off with the much raved Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation. Grabbed some blush tester off Geurlain 'counter' and brushed them on me, plus EA's lip balm and finished with a nude-y lipstick.

I looked at Browny, and he said i looked great! I was sold!

Love the grinder technology! I first saw it on a YSL powder, but YSL can no longer be found in singapore, and so, imagine my joy when i saw it on this EA powder!!

So i picked up the powder and the brush that was on sale when purchased WITH the powder, and went on to pay up, bracing myself for some pinch when the cashier swiped my card. While the lady was checking out my items, my eyes roamed around, and guess what i saw?!

Yes, the Rosebud Salve balm!

I picked it up without thinking and asked for the price, it was $14, and i paid up.

If i recall correctly, i had previously bought a Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 in mango flavour when i couldn't find Rosebud anywhere in Singapore, priced at $14 too.

With the Kiehl's priced at $14 for 0.5 fl.oz. which is approx. 15mls, and Rosebud Salve at $14 for 0.8 fl. oz. i am very much willing to pay for the Rosebud Salve!

I have been using the balm for about a week now, so far so good! No more peeling of lips, and definitely no more bleeding lips! Very very happy with my purchase. The best thing about this balm is it applies very well withou

t the oily sticky feel.

with Kiehl's i always have issues of my hair sticking to my lips, not anymore now!

Oh, and did i mention that the Kiehl's one came in a tube that has kind of a sharp edge at the place where we apply to our lips? I had to squeeze all of it into an empty container myself to prevent poking myself.

maybe it was just my luck to get a bad tube.

ohwells, i'm a happy girl now! splurged quite abit this month, but according to Browny, i looked so damn happy after purchasing all the items that day, couldn't stop smilling!

i think, sometimes it's best we keep to ourselves, keep our noses to ourselves, and not meddle in other people's affair. if they need/want your help, they will come to you. even though sometimes you are just worried for that someone, or just purely concerned, they might not take it that way.

when i just thought that something had happened, and wanted to be there to listen or for you to rant to, it turns out i should have just kept my concern to myself.

i'm only sad and hurt because i care. but then, who cares if i care or not?

to you my dear Rhino. Do you remember how hard we came about, and how we almost lost it all, but managed to pull through by just a thin thread? Do you remember the hurt and the pain we've put ourselves through and finally did it?

It could be fate, it could be mercy, it could be luck, it could be you, it could be me, it could be her, it could be nothing, it could be love. I choose to believe it's love.

There were definitely uncertainties, there were moments where i thought you've let go, we've lost it all. Moments where you took yourself away from me, and i myself trying to give up, but i just did not succeed in doing so even though i tried.

Thankfully for whatever it is, we made it. It's been almost 2.5 years now, and here we are, still going strong.

Sometimes, we have our own dry periods where we have so little time for each other, times where we grow impatient of one another's habits, times where we get our share of quarrels and squabbles and fights.

We learnt more and more of each other through these time, and sometimes it's pretty hurtful, it felt easier to just give up.

But i always think of how amazing we are, what an awesome couple we make, what we've been through to be where we are, and a smile is planted on my face. I never want to forget the hurt we've been through, never want to erase the pain we've had. These are all traces of us, a part of us and it will live with us, remind us of the growing pains, this is what makes us, us.

So here, i want to thank you Rhino, for always tolerating my nonsense, putting up with my shoppaholic issue, supporting in my decisions, for letting me win in squabbles as i just sometimes don't want to conceit defeat.

Post Night

hey all, i'm just done with 3 nights, and today is technically my sleeping day (18Apr11')

but look at the time! 0420hrs, i'm still wide awake. HAHA! this is the well known 'screwed up body clock' syndrome for nurses.

so as i'm wasting my time away online, might as well jot some stuff down here.

well, work's been pretty much a routine to me right now, and the next thing on our career to-do-list is further studies.

as a young child, i never had any one to look up upon with regards to education wise as i'm the only child, and pretty much the eldest amongst my cousins. those that i'm in contact with that is. which means not involving my father side of relatives.

so i never thought much about studies. it was just free and easy, and godfather have instilled in me since young is, DON'T GET As, just get Bs or worse come to worse, at least pass. so i have pretty much took my studies as serious as playing pick-up-sticks.

i guess he just didn't want to stress me out?

i went into EM2 when i was in Pri5, and thought that it was great! hahaha! in fact, i was kind of happy for myself! anyways, i sailed through my PSLE with the lots of compulsory supplementary classes for all subjects, and remedials for MATHS.

when i was in Pri4, i told my then bestfriend that i wanna go into normal stream when i'm in sec school, and she look at me in disbelief with huge eyes. i didn't understand why. i never knew normal stream was 5yrs while the usual talk of 4yrs sec school was express.

so then, apparently i somehow manage to get into an express class, but was damn depressed as i went to a school that none of my SPS school mates went to. But i think going to GYSS was one of the better things that happened in my life.

this is where i learnt that, in contrary to rumours, normal classes does NOT mean that you are lousy. i know of many awesome people who were from normal classes, and they are just quite as intelligent as anyone else. :)

anws, as i was saying, GYSS was a great event for me in life as this was where i moulded myself to be who i am now, and having found a bestfriend for myself whom i know we will stick around for one another for life. :)

ok, blahblahblah, i'm so naggy. i shall fast forward. so O levels came and went, i got into NYP nursing first choice. and i thought, 'ok! this is it! my last lap in academics. i never will have to study again after poly!'

i thought after poly was just work and everyone else just gets on with life. but oh boy, i was wrong. back then, i never ever spared a single second of my life wanting to go to a JC or uni. but now? with a dip, you just get like that. to go further in life, you need more, degree, etc.

why etc huh? because until now, i'm still really confused! =x i have no concrete idea what comes after degree.

HAHAHA!

so back to my first point, further studies.

should i go for degree first, or advanced dip?

and if i take a degree be it first or second, do i take it part time, or full time?

if i take advanced dip, which area of specialty do i choose?

i have been thinking about these for MONTHS and i have yet to come to a conclusion.

anyways, end of digression. i just needed to rant. what a boring post this is becoming!!

Alone?

As i was on my way back from a day out with Noelle, i was just strolling with many thoughts in my mind, and it occured to me that, everyone loves to be someone else's special someone. You see people holding hands, hugging and smooching everywhere.

Question is,

WHY?

Human come into this world, alone and empty handed. They leave this world, alone and empty handed too. So why the hassle or why the need to be somebody's special someone?

Why is it so important to have feelings and emotions or to have to deal with them?

I was just wondering how nice it would be if the world would just be great friends with each and every one, and not having anybody committing in a relationship or marriage.

Everyone is just friends with everybody, and can all have fun together.

Problem is, if that is the case, then how does the human race reproduce and have new humans? And if we have no new humans, that will be the end of mankind!

SO! Is that why humans are made in a way where we get attracted to the opposite gender, and feel the need to have a stable relationship, and settle down, and subsequently have children? Are all these just human instincts, or just because we were brought up this way?

haha, what a crazy thought and question i have while just walking huh!?

anyways, gonna go on night on Fri, Sat and Sun, please let it be good and smooth. And i have decided to just slap on this pic to bring an end to my abrupt post.

Disgust vs Phobia

i have recently just researched abit on Katsaridaphobia, and Trypophobia, and i am confused. A brief run through of what are this two? in my own words, this is what they are.

Katsaridaphobia

Fear for cockroaches.

People who knows me long enough, will know that i have this irrational fear for cockroaches, and i hate it. I've been afraid of cockroaches for as long as i could remember, and i have no idea why.

Trypophobia

Fear of holes or clusters of holes.

BF knows how much i hate holes, especially asymmetrical clusters of small holes like honeycombs. I hate them to a point that i cannot stand/buy footwear that has holes in them like sports shoes usually do.

as i was discussing it with my BF, he mentioned that he didn't think that i have Trypophobia, but more like i am usually disgusted by holes. he also mentioned that a phobia is something like what i have/feel towards cockroaches,

well, i have no idea man? i think i'm alot of Katsaridaphobia, and maybe a mild bit of Trypophobia?

i REFUSE to buy sport shoes with nettings on it, which most sports shoes does. it is supposed to allow the shoe to be more airy i guess? but the holes, makes me go ewwww. i also can't stand a honeycomb, and also patients that has random asymmetrical scars/holes on their skin. makes shudder and wanna just run away........

i have this irrational fear for cockroaches. i can spend more than an hour's time, just to creep up on a cockroach to drop a food container on it so it don't get to escape. the process is a torture as i can't walk up to a cockroach just like that.

i walk step by step, really slowly but everytime the cockroach makes a movement, i run away, but making sure to keep my eye on that creepy little thing. this will happen many times until i am lucky to be near enough to drop the container. and i will proceed to lift the container a tiny wee bit at the cockroach's back side to spam insecticide, and immediately let go of the container again. and the finishing move, is to put the spray can or anything heavy on top of it.

i feel that if i don't, it can escape. and also, i have no courage to pick the already dead cockroach. someone else will have to do it for me. i ever tried to remove a dead cockroach once, and i failed, terribly.

i didn't wanna use a broom as i didn't wanna dirty the broom, and i tried to use a wad of toilet paper like people usually do. and guess what? even though i know it is dead, I JUST CAN'T PICK IT UP!

i keep telling myself, it's ok, just do it. but i end up crying and trying to go forward, and cry more, and the vicious cycle repeats. at the end of the day? someone else picked it up for me.

oh and, did i mention that dead cockroaches cannot be flushed into the toilet bowl or thrown into rubbish bin? because i feel that the water from toilet bowl will wash away the insecticide, and it will revive. it doesn't make sense, but i just can't help it.

rawrr! so much on cockroach! so much ramblings! i should stop!!

Dilemma

Out of 10 stranger i see outside, (for example, the train) 7 would be holding on to an I-Phone, and 2 to a Blackberry and 1 to random some other brands.

This,

has become so much more of a fashion statement than a functional phone in my opinion. And dear me, i do love my Blackberry very much. But there are just many other factors that pulls me to an I-Phone!

As i tabulate the pros and cons in my head for the past few months, i still have not come to a conclusion yet. Though it's still pretty far away from the day that i could recontract, i am sure trying to decided on what i want now.

so many cute, fun, pretty and colourful casings to choose from! what's best? they are EASILY available!

Web-browsing wise, i think I-Phone kinda win as well. With faster loading speed, and great youtube streaming, Blackberry got to take a backseat on this.

getting an I-Phone is much cheaper than a Blackberry too(as long as you sign a 2year contract) and another thing to take into consideration is the screen resolution.

in comparison, an I-Phone's screen quality definitely win a Blackberry's hands down. i often watch in awe when I-Phone users whip out their phone endowed with great graphics, while i look at mine, and catch a glimpse of the SOMETIMES pixellated pictures/graphic.

Sometimes, when you see something better which you do not have, you tend to see the flaw of what you already have which you never used to notice.

but let's see what is keeping me AWAY from an I-Phone and stay faithful to my dear Berry.

first and foremost, KEYPADS.

i LOVE the feel of typing on a real keypad. It gives me a sense of satisfaction when i click away busily on my phone. I have no idea why, but I just do. Blackberry takes 1 for this

typing on a touchscreen phone feels pretty sad. I have no idea why i feel this way too. and i hate that we can't use out fingernails to navigate around. what if we have long nails?!

next up, is it's battery life. There is definitely nothing more frustrating than to be out with a phone that has a flat batt, and I-Phone, great as it is with the nice graphics, touchscreen feature, apps to use with, games to play to, songs to listen/dance along, it pretty much drains your phone off it's battery real quick. and say, you need to meet your friend at this particular place, but your phone's flat. HOW!!? and so, Blackberry, my trusty one, have so far not given me any problem with battery. thankful for that!

what else? hmmm, the fact that ALMOST everyone is gonna be holding the same phone as me makes me think twice too~ LOL.

oh and, i have both BBM and watsapp in my berry, but i find that i use bbm much more than the other. somehow, watsapp tend to lag a little, and it's pretty frustrating at times!!

and till the end of this post, i still don't really know what i want! it'll be cool to have a nice I-Phone, and it's be awesome to have a trusty Berry.

hahaha, i am such a superbly lazy girl which procrastinates SO MUCH. i very much neglect my blog!

and with a blink of an eye, i'm just about 1year old officially working in the nursing industry. i'm just a baby in this field, but i sure as hell have tasted a few of the most bitter experiences. sometimes i think that i'll develop hypertension working in this line! ahwells, no one knows what the future beholds.

i shall forge ahead with whatever comes to me, and we'll see where life will bring me to. let's see how long i can survive. hah!

it's the bunny year, and i have no idea, what is the big hoohaa anymore. =X as a kid, i loved CNY. because it means dressing up, looking pretty, won't get scolding, have many red packets, get to play all day and night with people you seldom meet. and of course, lots of yummy treats.

but as we grow older, all these 'thrills' gets worn off. after awhile, you don't see the hype anymore. just for example, this year, i didn't even go for CNY shopping. i just decide that, 'ok, that time i bought this bag, looks kind of suitable for CNY, ok! i shall stop using it until CNY.'

as such, this year, i really have no CNY shopping. well, partly also due to the fact that i'm abit tight on cash, and also that i didn't feel the need to do so.

and so last night, i was packing for my mum the red packets that she needs to hand out on CNY, and dear me! loads of money involved here man! it's like, CNY, gotta get new clothes, for kids, for yourself, buy goodies, buy food for your visitors, drinks, and whatnots.

oh dear, i seriously dread growing up. and right here right now i am halfway through my 'spring cleaning' most hated of all! =x in the midst of all the mess, i decided to take a break.

IT'S SO BORING!!

i used to have baby helping me spring clean, and it's fun to do things together, and when i get tired, he will lovingly help me finish up the remaining things i left undone. haha! but this time round, i've got to do all these without the help of BF and without his support somemore! he, is fast asleep, while i am, bored to the max, with no one to rant to, and no one to sweet talk me. :(

mad hate him for some unknown reason whereby he can't hear his phone ring when he sleep for nuts.

if one day, i'm in danger and i need help, i'm sure i can't get response from him one lor, especially when he is sleeping. maybe by the time he realise i called him, i'm dead already. LOL!

it is so unpredictable. i'm living my life, trying to appreciate everyone around me as much as i could. seen and heard so many cases of sudden unpredictable life changes to people around me. so scary, very scary.

the image of you in my mind is the happy smiley face. happy go lucky. love to enjoy life. but why? how? i can't even imagine you sleeping. much less you on a ventilator. how in the world? what is wrong with the world?

and i don't know if this sentence of mine would ever come true, but i just wish to say, get well soon. i wish to think that it can happen, wish to think that it's all a dream, wish to see you able to smile and laugh again.

A Short Sweet Encounter To Share

i have this patient, who is abit of a difficult to deal with. she is one who needs alot of reassurance, and persuading. many a times, threatening AOR, which is to insist on discharge against doctor's advice.

she is often found grumbling about what a place she is in, what horrible doctors she have, but she did say that the nurses are very nice. but still, she hates it here. and she MAD HATES blood taking, or needles of any form.

and with her having chest pain ever so frequently, drawing of bloods for cardiac enzymes is really important to check on her cardiac functions.

but with every threatening of AOR, different set of us manage to talk her into staying.

and today, her husband came up to us, requesting to transfer patient to another ward, under another team doctor. the team doctor of her previous admission in fact.

he told us about how she feels and how helpless he is, and how much he would like to do something for her, and how much it hurts him to see her so sad. they are a couple, aged 50+, and he said this to us.

'in the past, i made her marry me. how could i not give her a good life? i'm a person with bad temper. but everytime she needs to grumble about anything at all, or scolds me for things that are not within my control, i keep quiet and accepts it. i would just do anything to make her feel better. i'm not going to let her feel like life is good with me only at the initial stage, and i let her be sad and all when she's old and sickly. i would do anything to have her happy.'

and we can ALL see for ourselves, how much he dotes on her. just sweet isn't it?

Late Night Update

hey all! i'm here to update abit with some pictures!

on our 2nd year anniversary, we headed out to have lunch at our favourite restaurant, but turns out we were late, and so we had to settle for dinner instead. but nevertheless, because we were there early, we manage to snap quite abit of pictures. mostly of me. =X

bf brought out his family DSLR, and we managed to make full use of it that day! :)

CNY is just round the corner, this year i have decided not to purposely go shop for new clothes, as after much procrastination, i have just brought a bag of clothes for alteration. these are clothes mostly bought online, that turns out not to fit me that well, and now i can wear them for CNY! =D

also, i have been thinking of renting a flea booth sometime this year, to lelong off my much neglected clothings. some of them are worn before, but definitely very new. i will sell at very cheap price, because i just want to clear wardrobe space, not to earn money. support okay!

ah well, it's nothing but a show. in Singapore, that is not at all possible!

i am ALMOST done with packing, but it's still a mess over here. i have finally cleared up enough space for my dear new sexy laptop, and here i am, taking revenge.

for the fact that i have not been online for SO LONG, i am now currently 4hours into my first session of internet using over here. time check : 0518hrs.

i should go to sleep! but i feel like a have alot more things to catch up on, on the net. so many things, so little time!

i'm sorry for the long hiatus, i'm not sure who else is even STILL checking back anymore! lols. anyways, my trusty laptop went into a coma few days back, so i brought it back to the service centre where they revived my dear laptop for a price.

in any case, IT'S BACK AND WORKING!

my annual leave and flashed past halfway through like lightning, and this whole week, i have been heading out, out, and out. HAHAHHA!

there is still someone whom i have still yet to catch up with, which is NOELLE! next week ok. thurs/fri/sat kaysss.

so, it have been a great break away from work. just enjoy my days, lazily, relaxing, resting my mind and soul. loads of pictures were taken in this week, and one other thing to be updated is, i'm back with bangs again! hahaha. what's new right? lols!

Sun-Tues will be my night shift, and i shall then have abit of break again, before going back into work full force on 30th Aug.

hello everyone! it's been long since i last updated! wonder if anyone reads. haha! a long time have past, been really busy with work, and dance. juggling family, friends, work, dance, and love have proven to be tough job! but i'm not giving up on any! i'm gonna continue to do it till i get it right!

wellwell, what's up now? night shift! LOL. tonight will be my second night, and i hope that it'll be a good shift. yesterday was a night of war with my patients, and i hope today will be a better one. (:

hi all! it's my off day once again, like yay!! =D i realise i only have the time and strength and effort to update this blog of mine only on my off days. working days are really too busy and tiring to fork out extra time to update.

i had 10days straight of work, it was bf's birthday and kenneth's birthday chalet. had a great 2days off celebrating with them all. (:

it's been so so busy recently, i barely had time for myself. i thought i just finished a monster shift of 9days straight, but guess what? i'm on another monster shift again. this time round, 10days. help!! so many things to do in life, so little time to use. sigh....

a day before bf goes for his reservist, we went out on a simple date. just to have a nice meal and catch a movie. and off we were, to town to grab some pasta, and catch Shrek 4!

ahhh, i've been missing for so long from the blogosphere....

so much have happened. i've been working in the ward for about 2months now already. time flies doesn't it? i'm now taking charge of 6patients now and it is really stressing me out!

especially for morning shifts, i don't ever have time for break. afternoon still not that bad. but still stressful nonetheless. i hope i can adapt to things soon. my upcoming shifts are really bad. i have things like, work for 9days, then off 2days, then work 9days, and off 2days. can die!!

it's been quite long since my last post, and quite a few things happened. first up, we're like ALMOST done with our induction programme already, now, we're all in the wards, getting to know the ward practices.

well, curious to know where i'm posted to? well, it was quite a sad thing for me as it was none of my choices made.

ward64. REHAB. =.=

at first, i saw 64, damn happy! but see REHAB, sian already. what i wanted was 64OrthoSurg. but... ohwells.
):

the people there are nice and all. it's a nice environment, just not my preffered discipline. wellwell, just got to get used to it and go with the flow then. i always believe, things happen for a reason. so, there could be a reason to this~ whatever! hahah!

next up, was an outing with BE people, on labour day. our big group of 16(i think) proceeded to town to catch IpMan2 as a club. and it was great! it was a nice time spent together, bonding. ((: after the show, we all proceeded to lucky plaza, for our dinner. we had malay food and it was not bad!! =D

afterwhich, was another day out with BE people, to the marina barrage, for what you'd ask. PICNIC+KITEFLYING!! it's my first time flying a kite, and damn! it IS fun+exciting!!

woke up 10+ in the morning and proceeded to sengkang to go get the groceries and prepare the food we intend to bring for the people! initially i thought i wanted to just do egg mayo and tuna mayo. but end result? we brought egg mayo+tuna mayo+2loaves of bread+konnyaku jelly+nutella spread+loads of fresh and crispy greens to go with the sandwich!
=D

after the feast, we went to flykiiiiiiiite! for me, it was my first try, and i loved it! heehee! hope to have another kite flying session soon! the feeling you get when you see your own kite high up is really indescribable. it's like even better than feeling fabulous! like damn relax and happy. heh!

but later in that day, something bad happened. my phone, dropped. into the platform gap. like wtf. and it's because while entering, this auntie just very ganjiong run in, knocked into bf, and caused him to lose grip on the phone, and, blooooop~! jackpot.... my phone. my less than 1year old phone. my blinged phone. sigh...

and what could make things worse? it's NEL. can't retrieve until they close for the day. and what made it suck even more? it dropped face down, onto a puddle of don't-know-what-water. yes, the screen and keypad soaked in the puddle, for hours. like minimum of 5hours. can't save my phone at all. when i collect it the next morning, it's totally un-resuscita-able. sucks.

and so, like i said, things happens for a reason. let this be the reason for me getting a BlackBerryBold2 OKAY??! =D

so, what's up recently? nothing much. just work and some simple outings. first week of work is down, and it's just full of lectures which ends our days with painful butts. up till now, i still can't get over the fact that i'm a full fledged nurse already. scary....

i've started my work already...... and it's endless lectures right now, help! need to fight the zzz monster all the time, and it's a tough battle! ):

wearing my new uniform on the first day, it felt funny. like as if i wore the wrong one. hahaha! it feels, heavier. physically and psychologically. =x
in actual fact, the material IS heavier, and wearing it somehow made me feel the responsibilities weighing down on my shoulder hence the psychological weight. hahaha!

blabla, boring. my life is so mundane now. wake up, prepare, work, sit in lecture, fight zzz-monster, eat, fight zzz-monster, go home, eat, online, prepare, sleep. and my cycle repeats. HELP!
